My name is Kelly Johnson and I am a freshman "adult learner" at IUPUI.  I am the mother of 3 really cool people, and the sister of 3 pretty neat people too.  I lost my mom when I was 19, but my dad is still rocking life like a Boss!  My family means everything to me.  Being with them makes my heart sing and my mouth smile and my soul shine.

I returned to school at a really good time.  I tell people often that had I

continued on to college right after high school, it likely would have been

wasted.  I get to attend now and not feel the pressures that may have

been present back then.  Today, I get to participate in a way that allows

for joyful (though often challenging) learning.  Don't get me wrong, I want to make excellent grades, but that's not so much the point now.  The learning is very cool!

My son, Scott Evans, has a really cool job with Access Hollywood and every now and then he lets me tag a long and participate. From a girls trip to New Orleans, to Chicago for Bad Moms Christmas event to the Tyler Perry Studio opening!
